When will DA revise for January 2025?
The announcement of revision in DA is made by the Cabinet meeting. There is no fixed date for conducting a Cabinet meeting, but usually the meeting is conducted on Wednesday. So the ministers can announce an increment in the DA on 12 March 2025 after conducting the Cabinet meeting.
Revision in DA twice
Central government is following 7th pay commission with punctuality where they are providing all the provisions mention in the commission to their employees including the basic pay, additional announces, house and rent around, dearness allowance etc. Most of the famous provision of the 7th pay commission is DA which is schedule to revise twice in a year, The first revision in DA is scheduled for January to June of a year and second revision is scheduled for July to December of a year.
Currently employees are getting their previously increased DA for July session of 53%, But now they will get new increment in DA Holi and will receive additional amount along with their salary.

The seventh pay commission was prepared for next 10 years in 2016 and have been completed 10 years. There are multiple conditions in 7th pay commission which are forcing the government to revise the pay commission with the 8 Pay Commission. The seventh pay commission itself says to revise it after you reach the DA upto 50%.
Now employees are expecting to it 55% DA, but 8th pay commission have not implemented yet.
