CBSE Board Exam 2024 New Rules: सीबीएसई 10, 12 की बोर्ड परीक्षाओं में नहीं देगा डिविजन, डिस्टिंक्शन

CBSE Board Exam 2024 New Rules: The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced a big change in the CBSE marking scheme for students in classes 10th and 12th on the official website. Now students will not get division for distinction in the 10th class and 12th class according to the CBSE official notification. If you are also studying in a CBSE affiliated school and preparing for 10th class or 12th class board 2024 then you should check the latest information of CBSE and prepare for CBSE Board Exam 2024 accordingly.

The Controller of Examination in CBSE Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj has approved an order and uploaded it on the official website of CBSE related to the Calculation of percentages in class 10th and class 12th. The CBSE board was receiving many applications about the calculation of percentages in the 10th class of 12th class and now CBSE has finally made a historical decision not to award any division or distinction in the 10th and 12th class examinations. It is a good decision from students’ point of view as they will not be judged further by seeing the percentage as CBSE will not provide the result in distinction division or any percentage.

CBSE Board Exam 2024 New Rules: Individuals can calculate the percentage

According to the CBSE Board Exam 2024 official notification, it is very clear that CBSE will not provide the percentage of the results of the student but will provide grades to the students. However, CBSE has also added that if any employer or any institution who is providing admission or employment to the student only on behalf of their 10th class or 12th class percentage then they can calculated on an institutional level. CBSE is implemented NEP 2020

National education policy has advocated reducing the academic burden of students and reducing peer competition. CBSE has already announced that they will not release the list of the 10th and 12th class toppers on the official website in the last examination of 2023. It will reduce the feeling of the competition among students and will focus on the performance. CBSE has not released the merit list of the students in the 10th class in the 12th class in the board examination of 2023 and informed us that will not provide the list in the future either. Now the board has released another notification on the Officer website on 30 November 2023 not to provide percentage/ division and distinction to the students in their CBSE 10th 12th results.

Students and educators are accepting and appreciating this initiative of CBSE as it will reduce the focus on the percentage in CBSE B oard Exam 2024 and increase performance in the examination. Academic pressure is increased by labelling students in different categories according to their marks. But now students have to focus in their subject wise development as only subject wise grades will be provided to the students that will not make any impact on their overall percentage.

Reviews on CBSE new changes

Experts are saying that it will help teachers and students to focus on the overall development and Holistic development of the students. National education policy has suggested to reduce academic burdens on the students. CBSE has also provided the choice of selecting subjects in 11th and 12th class earlier so now educational structure is focusing to implement the provisions of NEP to make it effectful. However then need of percentage in 10th class and 12th class is continuously reducing as higher education institutions are conducting entrance examinations such as CUET, NEET UG, JEE, etc. to provide admission in there instituted and colleges. But if you want to get employment where 10th class percentage on 12th class percentage is necessary when you can calculate your best 5 subjects marks and after that calculate your overall percentage individually.
