The School Education Department of Andhra Pradesh has released the AP-TET 2024 notification for the Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (AP TET) for July 2024. AP TET 2024 Eligibility Criteria
The Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET) aims to determine the APTET 2024 Eligibility of candidates to teach in primary and upper primary schools in Andhra Pradesh. Candidates who clear the APTET Level 1 exam are eligible to teach in primary schools (classes 1-5).
On the other hand, candidates who clear the APTET Level 2 exam are eligible to teach in upper primary schools (classes 6-8). Candidates who clear both the APTET exams are eligible to teach from class 1 to 8.
Andhra Pradesh TET Exam Educational Qualifications
AP TET Paper 1 Part A (Classes 1 to 5):
- Intermediate/Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (BelEd) or 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) or
- Graduation and two-year Diploma in Elementary Education or Bachelor of Education (BEd) or
- Post-graduation and at least 55% marks or equivalent grade and three-year integrated BEd/MEd
AP TET Paper 2 Part A (Classes 6 to 8):
Mathematics and Science Teachers/ Social Studies Teachers/ Language Teachers
- Graduation/post-graduation with at least 50% marks and B.Ed or
- Graduation with at least 45% marks and one-year Bachelor of Education recognized by NCTE or at least 50% marks in graduation and one-year B.Ed (Special Education) or
- Intermediate/Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed) or 4-year BA/BScEd or BA.Ed/BScEd or
- At least 55 per cent marks or equivalent grade in post-graduation and three-year integrated BEd-Med
AP TET Exam Pattern 2024
AP TET 2024 has 4 levels of paper: Paper-1A, Paper-1B, Paper-2A, and Paper-2B. The exam will be conducted in a computer-based format and the questions will be available in bilingual (English and Telugu) mode.
