The prices in food items were instantly increased during last months and people was facing difficulty to purchase these day today items on high cost. The government have also buffer stock of chana dal, Masoor dal, Mung daal, udad daal and tur daal. These stocks are created to maintain the food distribution in India at any emergency and other type of problem. The government is also providing chana dal from this stock.

After successfully distribution of Bharat dal, the government has recently announced to provide Bharat atta on these centres. It will be packed Bharat Atta of 1 kg. The price of this packet will be 27.5 rupees per kilogram. According to the reports, the government has provided 2.5 lakh tonnes of Wheat to these distribution centres on the rate of 21.5 Rs per KG. After that these agencies will convert the wheat into wheat flour. After that the cost of packed wheat flour will be 27.5 rupees per kilogram. You can purchase these Government sponsored wheat from any distribution centre of NAFED, NCCF and Kendriya Bhandar. However, the centre government has also distributed onion from the centres in previous months when the price of onion was on peak. NAFED is selling onions on 25 rupees per kilogram at various distribution centres.

There are total 2000 outlets of distribution centres including NAFED, NCCF and Kendriya Bhandar. You can purchase these items on subsidy rates from these centres. Apart from this there are many areas and localities in India where citizens cannot visit to decentre to purchase items on subsidy rate due to long distance from their village to the city. But now government is maintaining 800 mobile vans which are providing doorstep facility to purchase bharat dal at various locations.
