NMMS Scholarship Form 2024-25: Under the National Means and Merit Scholarship Scheme, students who are studying in class 8th will receive a four-year scholarship worth Rs. 48,000. To receive this benefit, students will have to participate in the exam. The scholarship exam is going held in November 17, 2024. After qualifying the exam the student will get Rs. 1000 per month or Rs 12,000 per annum.
The Ministry of Education offers Rs.1,00,000 National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) every year to deserving students in class 8. National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme, launched in the year 2008, aims to provide financial assistance to academically talented students coming from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The aim is to reduce the dropout rate at the Grade 8 level, as well as encourage them to continue their education till secondary school.

NMMS Scholarship 2024 Eligibility Criteria
To receive the benefit of the National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS), the candidate should have to fulfil the following eligibility criteria:
- The Means-cum-Merit (MCM) scholarship is started to help the needy students who have good academic record.
- The candidates must be passed Class 8th with a minimum of 55% and also enrolled in Class 9 as a regular student.
- The candidate should be enrolled in a government, local body, or government-aided school.
- To receive the benefit of the scholarship in Class 11th, the candidate should obtain at least 60% in Class 10th board exam.
- To continuethis scholarship into Class 12, the student should have pass Class 11 in first attempt with at least of 55% marks.
- Family income of the studentsshould be less than ₹350,000.

How to Fill NMMS Scholarship Form 2024?
Step 1: Firstly, you have to visit the link https://scholarships.gov.in/ of the official National scholarship portal.
Step 2:If you are a new user, then you have to click on the “One-Time Registration (OTR)” section.
Step 3: After this, you have to fill your name, date of birth, gender, category, contact number, Academic Details, Bank Details etc., and then upload a recently clicked passport-size photo and signature and then submit it.
Step 4:Now, you will receive a registration ID and password.
Step 5:By using this Login details, you have to “Login” to your account.
