SFE Full-time Undergraduate Applications are now open for 2025-26: It is time for English undergraduates, both new and returning, to apply for student finance. To ensure that their money is available for the start of their course, we are urging students to apply as soon as possible.
Applying now will allow them to concentrate on their present coursework and ensure that their application is accepted on time. Therefore, a crucial message for students who may be delaying their application is:
- Do not put off funding. Make sure you have your finances in order before the start of your course by applying right away.
- You might be eligible for a loan to assist with living expenses and tuition at a university or college.
- If you have children, are disabled, or are on a low income, you may receive additional funds on top of this.
- Even if you’re not from the UK, you can be eligible for student loans.
When and how should I Apply?
- To make sure their money is available for the start of their course, students should apply as soon as possible.
- We encourage students to apply now to ensure they don’t postpone their assistance, since we process over a million applications annually.
Step 1: New students must register and provide their bank account information and passport information and National Insurance Number.
Step 2: Students should reapply after logging into their online accounts if they intend to continue.
Step 3: To guarantee they receive student money at the beginning of their degree, we advise students to apply as soon as possible, as the processing application can take up to eight weeks.
Step 4: It may take up to 14 weeks for Disabled Student’s Allowance (DSAs) to apply.
Step 5: Students can track the status of their application through their online account.
Additional Assistance
While we determine their entire entitlement, students who are applying for additional support, such as the Childcare Grant or Parents’ Learning Allowance, may have to wait longer. To prevent delays, they should apply right away and provide their supporting documentation. Share our cost of living-student finance support information with students to ensure they are receiving the most money possible and to point them in the direction of any additional resources they might require for their education.
Important Modifications in Undergraduate Applications
The amount of tuition price loans available to students has grown since the UK government declared in November that tuition costs nationwide will raise start in August 2025. This implies the following for the academic year 2025–26:
- Currently, full-time courses cost £9,535; part-time courses cost £7,145 and accelerated degree programs cost £11,440.
- For foundation years, tuition costs have also changed. Students will be charged up to £9,535 if the course is not completely classroom oriented, or £5,760 if they are pursuing a classroom-based subject.
Additionally, SFE plans to eliminate paper from 2025 to 2026. This implies that after their application is accepted, students will no longer receive a physical entitlement letter. Rather, customers will receive notifications through their online account, where they can also view their payments and entitlements.
