UGC NET Cut Off 2024

The minimum qualifying marks for candidates aspiring to be considered for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) are determined by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The UGC sets three types of cutoffs for Assistant Professor and JRF, namely qualifying cutoff, category-wise cutoff, and subject-wise UGC NET Cut Off 2024. UGC NET 2024 Application Form

The UGC NET 2024 Application Process for the June session is expected to begin in April 2024. UGC NET Admit Card 2024

The UGC NET 2024 Examinations is scheduled to take place from 10-21 June, 2024. However, the admit card will be available only for those candidates who are going to appear in the examinations on the specified date and who complete the application process.

There will be a total of two shifts per day in the UGC NET June examination 2024. The first shift will start from 9:00 AM to 12 p.m. and the second shift will be conducted between 3 to 6 p.m. Students will eb given a Total of 3 hours to complete the examination which will be conducted in computer mode accordingly.

UGC NET Certificate Validity

The UGC NET exam qualified candidates for two certifications :-

• Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) Certificate :The JRF UGC NET Certificate remains valid for the next three years from the date of the declaration of the result.
• Lectureship (LS) Certificate : There is no validity limit for the post of Assistant Professor (Lectureship).

UGC NET 2024 Normalization Procedure

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will determine the candidates’ marks by following a normalization procedure to convert the actual marks secured in various shifts to the UGC NET Score (percentile). For example, if the exam is held in two shifts and in shift 1, a percentile score of 74 corresponds to 40% marks, and in shift 2, a percentile score of 76 corresponds to the same percentage, then all the candidates will score equal.

Those who have above-average percentiles in both shifts (percentile scores of 100 to 76) will be eligible for the general category. Marks for reserved classes will be calculated in the same manner
