UGC NET Re-Exam 2024

The UGC NET Re-Exam 2024 is now scheduled to be conducted from August 21 to September 4, 2024. The UGC NET Re-Exam 2024 will be conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode in multiple shifts as per the schedule specified in the Information at a glance. Candidates who will successfully qualified for the examination will be eligible to apply for the post of assistant professor in the particular subject for which they have applied for the UGC NET Exam 2024 and can also apply for the JRF fellowship.

There will be multiple types of objective questions in the UGC NET Re-Exam 2024 in two sections including teasing aptitude and subject knowledge where candidates have to achieve good marks in both papers.

UGC NET Notification 2024

National Testing Agency (NTA) every year conducts the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) examination. UGC NET 2024 is being conducted as an Eligibility Test for the recruitment of Assistant Professors and Jr. NTA has re-announced the UGC NET Re-Exam 2024 dates for the June session. UGC NET 2024 examinations will be held from Aug 21 to Sep 04, 2024.

The UGC NET Notification 2024 PDF was released by National Testing Agency (NTA) on the official website after its cancellation on 19th June, 2024.

UGC NET Exam 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The conducting authority of the examination sets some guidelines to appear in the examination known as eligibility criteria. It is crucial to satisfy these criteria to apply for the examination.

The eligibility for the UGC NET Examination 2024 has been decided based on two major factors i.e., education qualification and age limit.

Education Qualification : –

If you have completed post-graduation or have enrolled for the Master’s, you can apply for this exam.

• Candidates require 55% percent marks in their Master’s Degree for the General/EWS category and 50% marks for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Transgender.
• PhD degree holders can also apply for the UGC NET Examination 2024.

Age Limit : –

• There is no age limitation to appear for the UGC NET 2024 Assistant Professor post.
• If you want to apply for JRF, your max age should be 30 years or less.

How to apply online for UGC NET Exam 2024?

• Go to the UGC NET official website (https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in/) and register for the UGC NET Exam 2024.
• Fill in the personal and academic details in the online application form.
• Upload your scanned Photo and Signature as per the UGC NET guidelines.
• Pay the application fee through SBI / Syndicate / HDFC / ICICI Payment Gateways i.e., Debit / Credit Card or Net Banking / Paytm.

Once all details are filled in, click on the Submission button. The candidates must review the information given on the page and click on the Final Submission button to proceed with the process. Once it is presented, an application number will be generated and displayed on the screen. Write down the application number and keeping it for future use.

UGC NET Exam 2024 Pattern

The exam pattern for UGC NET Re-Exam 2024 is as follows :-

• The UGC NET exam will have two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2.
• All the questions in both papers will be of multiple-choice type.
• Total number of questions will be 150.
• The duration of the exam is 3 hours.
• There would be no negative marking.
• Paper 1 will consist of questions from common topics
• Paper 2 will cover questions from the subject selected by you.
• In Paper 2, you will be given questions from 81 subjects selected by you

• Visit the official website of the national testing agency.
• This is the direct link to visit on the official website : https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in/ 
• Now you will eat on the dashboard where you have to click on the link of UGC NET 2024 advanced city slip window.
• After that, you will be redirected to a new page, and enter your Application number and date of birth 

Once you submit your details in the NET application form, the UGC NET 2024 examination City slip will appear on your screen according to the application and you can download it by clicking on the download link.

Please note that it is only the examination City details where the detailed information of the examination hall will not be available as it will be printed on the UGC NET 2024 Hall Ticket directly but it will help you to locate to the examination City before the examination. 

UGC NET 2024 Admit Card

The national testing agency will conduct the examination of UGC NET Exam 2024 at various centers and will upload the UGC NET 2024 Admit Card of the candidates two or three days before the examinations on the official website. You can check your UGC NET 2024 Admit Card by following this method :-

• Visit the official website of the national testing agency for UGC NET Exam 2024.
• Now you can see the pop-up link on the screen to download UGC NET Admit Card 2024.
• Once you click on the link you will be redirected to a new page where you have to provide your application number and date of birth.
• After that the admit card will appear on the screen and you can download it and take a printout as only hard copies of the admit card will be allowed at the examination center.

UGC NET Result 2024

The UGC NET 2024 result will be declared by NTA in online mode. Candidates may use their application number and date of birth/password to verify the results. The result of UGC NET 2024 includes the candidates’ data, the marks secured by them, and their qualifying status.
