3 petitions on NEET UG case
This branch of the code is hearing 3 petitions of three petitioners against the national testing agency that conducted the NEET UG exam. The first petition was filed by Alakh Pandey who is the founder of Physics Wallah, approximately 20000 students signed his petition where they are demanding to conduct the NEET UG examination again.
The competition has told to court that approximately 70 to 80 marks are given to the students as grace marks and the NTA has told that the grace marks are given to the students due to loss of time. Few students in examination centres do not receive the OMR sheet or question paper on time which affects the performance of these students.
So these affected students are receiving Grace marks from the National testing agency. But as Grace Mark is very high and changing the whole game of getting admission in medical colleges so petitioners are demanding to reconduct the NEET UG examination again.
Impossible markings in NEET UG scorecard
The other prisoners who are claiming that the National Testing Agency leaked the NEET UG examination are saying that many students in the NEET UG examination 2024 have received 720 out of 720. Apart from this, there is also a list of candidates who have received 718 and 719 marks out of 720. However getting full marks in the NEET UG examination is justifiable, but according to coaching centres and teachers, students can get only either 716 marks or 720 marks and cannot get the marks between this range.
The national testing agencies follow a 4:1 ratio of calculating the NEET UG scorecard of the applicants where individuals get 4 marks for every correct answer and one mark is deducted for every incorrect answer. So getting 718 and 719 marks is doubting on NTA. However National Testing Agency answered this question that students are receiving such marks due to Grace’s marks.
