NUA-O Scholarship 2024: The Odisha government intends to introduce the NUA-O Scholarship 2024. Under this initiative, undergraduate and postgraduate students will receive annual scholarships, with male students getting Rs 9,000 and female students getting Rs 10,000. SC/ST and construction worker families’ male students will get Rs 10,000 per annum, on the same side female students of the same families will get rupees 11 thousand per annum.
The Government of Odisha has decided to launch the NUA-O Scholarship for undergraduate and postgraduate students. Under this initiative, male students will get Rs 9,000 per annum, while female students will get Rs 10,000 per annum. Male students belonging to SC/ST and construction worker families will get Rs 10,000 per annum, while female students belonging to these categories will get Rs 11,000 per annum.

Nutan Unnat Abhilasha (NUA) Odisha Scheme aims to empower the youth with sustainable skilling, re-skilling, and progress. The scholarship will be available to students of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in state universities and government and non-government aided colleges, Sanskrit colleges amalgamated under the higher education department.
He said that students whose parents are income taxpayers or permanent government employees will not be able to avail of the scholarship. Nua-O Scholarship will be credited into the bank accounts of eligible students for the current academic year. he said this will be a new era of student empowerment towards fulfilling the Chief Minister’s vision of ‘Naveen Odisha’ (New Odisha).

He added that around 4.5 lakh undergraduate and 32,000 postgraduate students are expected to benefit from the Nua-O scholarship. A fund of Rs 300 crore will be collected and, all eligible students will be given Nua-O Magic Smart Cards, through which they will be able to avail of additional benefits such as bus or train travel, free WIFI usage, online courses, skill development, and coaching programs,” Pandian said.

Who is eligible for the Odisha NUA-O Scholarship 2024
The scholarship under the NUA scheme 2024 of the Government of Odisha is expected to cover all 30 districts of the state, especially the aspirational, remote, and tribal districts of Odisha. According to the Government of Odisha, this scholarship will be awarded to any student of any government or non-government institution in the state who has registered in any undergraduate and postgraduate program.
Students of Sanskrit College which is under the Higher Education Department have also been included in this initiative. Students whose guardians or parents are government servants in any State or Central Government office and pay income tax will not be eligible for the scholarship.
