SSC GD Exam Pattern 2024: The Staff Selection Commission has released on notification of SSC GD constable recruitment 2023-24 on the official website. SSC GD Exam Pattern 2024: SSC 2024 Pattern change
Staff Selection Commission will recruit 26146 SSC GD constables for different branches in the Army through the latest recruitment procedure. The last date to apply online is 31 December 2023 after that you can participate in the correction between 4 to 6 January 2024. However, the board has not provided the exact date of the examination but the CBT examination of SSC GD recruitment 2023 will be conducted in February and March 2024. There is a big change in the SSC GD Examination pattern 2023 as the board has reduced the examination duration from 90 to 60 minutes. The negative marking has also affected as now what will deduct 0.5 marks for every incorrect answer.

Half marks will be deducted for Negative marking
SSC was deducting 0.25 marks from the examination for every incorrect answer earlier, now the board has revised the examination pattern and now it will deduct 0.5 marks for every incorrect answer. However, the percentage of negative markings is the same as ¼ because the earlier board provided 1 mark for every correct answer and deducted ¼ as 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer. But now candidates will get 2 marks for every correct answer and half a mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. Show the percentage is the same but the ssc gd exam pattern has been revised.
Only 80 questions will be asked
THE SSC GD constable examination was based on 100 questions on multiple answer type earlier, but now according to the revised schedule and pattern of the examination, there will only be 80 questions in the question paper. So students are getting relaxed from the board as the number of questions has been reduced. There are a total of 4 sections in the SSC GD recruitment examination including the language of Hindi or English, Mathematics, reasoning, and general knowledge.
Each section carried 25 marks in the previous pattern but now they will only 20 questions in every section. So it will help students to study more specifically for preparing for SSC GD constable recruitment 2023. As mentioned the board has also increased the marking scheme from 1 mark for each correct answer to 2 mark. So now there will total of 160 marks in the SSC GD recruitment examination and candidates have to score good marks to achieve their rank in the merit list.

Only 60 minutes will be provided
Candidates got 90 minutes to complete 100 questions in the previous pattern of the SSC GD recruitment examination now they will get only 60 minutes to complete 80 questions which may increase the pressure on the students. However, it is also important that the number of questions and the number of minutes are reduced by the SSC in the new pattern of SSC GD recruitment. So students have very little time to prepare according to the new pattern as examination may be conducted between February to March so you have only 1.5 months to accommodate according to the new pattern.
New syllabus of SSC GD recruitment examination 2024 in revised pattern
As mentioned there will 4 sections in the examination English or Hindi ( only one language which will be opted by the student at the time of applying online), Mathematics, reasoning, and general awareness.
- Mathematics: Number systems, fractions, decimals, Arithmetic applications, Ratio, Profit loss, percentages, etc will be covered in the mathematical section
- Reasoning: Verbal and nonverbal communication, blood relations, mathematical operation, analysis, coding-decoding, calendar, etc are asked in the reasoning section
- General knowledge will cover the topics of history, political science, geography, Contemporary situation in the world, Relationship of India with other countries, awards, author names, etc are asked in general knowledge.
- The language section will cover questions of language comprehension including synonyms, antonyms, word meanings, grammar, etc of Hindi or English.
