UGC NET 2024 Exam Cancelled: The UGC NET exam 2024 for the June session was scheduled for 18th June, 2024. Students has also participated in the NET JUNE Exam. National Testing Agency (NTA) had conducted the UGC NET 2024 Exam on June 18. This time NTA had conducted the NET exam (UGC NET 2024) in offline mode. The examination was taken at more than 300 examination centers across the country, but a day later the government issued an order to cancel the UGC NET 2024 Exam. Not only this, the government has also handed over its investigation to CBI.

The Education Ministry said that the UGC has received some information regarding the examination from the National Cyber Crime Threat Analysis Unit of the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Center under the Ministry of Home Affairs. These information shows that UGC Net purity was compromised. Therefore UGC NET 2024 Exam has been cancelled. The government also said that the new date of NET exam will be announced soon

Let us tell you that UGC NET i.e. University Grant Commission National Eligibility Test is a national level competitive examination. Which is organized by NTA. As UGC has earlier released the examination dates of UGC net session 1 from 10 June to 21 June 2024, students had been prepared for the exam accordingly. But after that the Election Commission of India has announced the Lok Sabha election dates 2024 in India from 19 April to 1st June 2024. The UGC has also suggested to all the colleges and institutes affiliated with it to conduct June session examinations in their colleges earlier the Lok Sabha elections.

So the UGC NET 2024 Exam has been cancelled according to the guidelines of UGC. They have mentioned the scheduled examinations of UGC NET 2024 Exam. Eligibility criteria for UGC NET 2024 Exam

• You must have a Master’s degree or its equivalent from a university recognized by the UGC [University Grants Commission] to apply for UGC NET.
• General (Unreserved) category: 55% marks in your Master’s degree
• Reserved categories (OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PWD, and transgenders): 50% marks in your Master’s degree
• Final-year Master’s students can also apply

UGC NET June exam 2024

UGC NET examination is prepared for those candidates who want to get admission in research work through multiple approaches such as Junior research fellowship- JRF, assistant professor in colleges, and getting a NET qualification certificate.

However the minimum age is not provided by the board but the maximum age should not be more than 30 years old for candidates who want to get admission in JRF. Candidates who are selected for JRF will get a monthly stipend from the government to complete their research work for the next 5 years. Important Documents for UGC NET Exam 2024
