2 Children Policy New Rule: There is shocking news for candidates who are preparing for the government job examination from the Supreme Court of India. Candidates who have more than two children are not eligible to apply for government jobs. Most of the youth in India want to get government job to secure their life and future. But now candidates have to revise their eligibility criteria as Supreme Court of India have also approved that decision of state government in Rajasthan about ineligibility of candidates who have more than two children. The petitioner Ramlal Jaat have field the petition to challenge the decision of State Government of Rajasthan about two children policy for government job.

The high court of the state have already rejected the petition of the petitioner earlier and now the supreme court have also rejected petition of Ex Servicemen Ramlal Jaat on 28 February 2024. Now it is officially approved by the Chief legal authority of the country to knockout the candidates from the race of government job who are not following the family planning of a maximum 2 children in a family. 

Rajasthan government two children policy in government job 

In 2001, the Government of Rajasthan amended the Rajasthan Service rule, in which more than two children have been excluded from the eligibility for government jobs in the state. According to the rule, the candidate who have more than two children after 1 June 2002 in the state cannot apply for government jobs in the state. The petitioner Ramlal Jaat have also more than two children and according to this rule, the government help rejected their candidates from the Rajasthan Police recruitment in 2017.

Supreme Court has rejected the petition 

The petitioner Ramlal Jaat earlier appeared in the high court of Rajasthan regarding to the challenge in the Rajasthan Service Rule Amendment 2001. The state High Court rejected the petition of the petitioner on October 2022. After that the petitioner filed the petition in the Supreme Court of India and the bench of Justice Suryakant, Justice Deepankar Datta and Justice KV Vishwanathan have also rejected the petition on the Prisoner in the last hearing.

Apart from this justice Suryakant have told that “ A similar provision was introduced as eligibility for contesting Panchayat elections in the year 2003. It has been upheld by the Supreme Court in the year 2023 in the case of Jawad and others vs. State of Haryana.” According to this provision,  the candidate who have more than two children are not eligible to participate in Panchayat elections in Haryana state.

The rule have prepare to encourage the family planning among citizens. So now all the candidates who are preparing for government job in Rajasthan state should aware that they cannot applied for government job if they have more than two children from 2002.
