Kendriya Vidyalaya released a KVS Class 1 Admission official notification on the website on 28 March 2024 for admission to KVS in class 1. The Sangathan has started an online portal for admission in class 1 where parents can enroll their children between 1 April to 15 April 2024 before 5 p.m. After that eligible students have to appear in the allotted Kendriya Vidyalaya according to the KVS class 1 admission list 2024. After that school authority will prepare the KVS Class 1 merit list of the successful candidates and will KVS first class admission 1 provisional list on 19 April 2024. parents have to appear in the school before 29 April and confirm their admission, as the second list will be released on 29 and the third list will be released on 8 May 2024. However, the school authority will release 3 lists for students but it will be prepared according to the kvs class 1 vacant seats in different Kendriya Vidyalaya across the country.
KVS Class 1 Admission Eligibility and Documents
- The parent of the student should be an Indian citizen only
- The age of the applicant should be between 6 years to 8 years at the time of admission.
- KVS will give preferences to the wards and children of state and Central Government employees, Army personnel etc.
- The school will allow 25% students under RTI act for each class, 15% seats will be given through the lottery system in KVS, 10% seats are reserved for OBC and 3% seats are reserved for SC ST category students.

Important documents for admission in Kendriya Vidyalaya in class 1
Parents have to ensure to carry the following documents and the time of applying for KVS admission in class 1 through online mode:
- Aadhar Card of students and parents
- Self declaration certificate for distance between school and the residence of the student,
- Service certificate for Central Government or State Government employees
- Transfer certificate of the parents
- Email id and mobile number of the parent
- Birth certificate of the children
- Passport size photograph of the student
- Address proof of the applicant
- Reserved categories certificate such as SC ST/ OBC/ PWD/ EWS/ Government employees etc.
How to Fill KVS Class 1 Admission Form Online?
Parents of the students have to follow the following procedure through online mode to submit the KVS Class 1 application form for KVS class 1 admission 2024-25:
- Visit to the official website of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and select the class 1 admission link 2024 in KVS. However, you can also click on this link to visit directly https://kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in/
- After that you will reach in the new page where you have to click on the registration link and the guidelines for registration with appear on your screen so you have to read all the details and click on the proceeding at the end of the website.
- The KVS Class 1 application form will appear on your screen for registration where you have to provide person details such as name of the student, date of birth, mobile number and email id and create user id and password
- Now the complete application form will appear on your screen after login where you have to provide details of the parents, details of the student, employment details of the Guardians, address information, reservation information etc
- Parents have to select list of the schools under KVS according to the frequency for admission, so the authority will prepare merit list of the successful students accordingly
- After that upload all the documents in soft copy with 256 KB of PDF or JPG format.
Parents will receive notification on their email id and mobile number after completing the registration, however it is only the registration procedure, but parents have to actively check in the official website of KVS till 19 April 2024 as the have to visit the allotted KVS during the provided deadline and submit photocopy documents to the school to confirm the admission.
