The company released the NPCIL Assistant Grade 1 Recruitment 2024 notification on June 2024 of recruiting Grade 1 assistants in the department for total 58 different vacancies.

NPCIL Assistant Job Details 2024 – Salary, Selection Process, All

There are a total of three categories of assistant grade 1 jobs including Assistant grade 1 HR, assistant grade 1 F&A, and Assistant grade 1 C&MM. These categories are further divided into different reserve categories including SC ST, OBC, and PWD candidates. Where total of 29 candidates will be recruited for the HR post, 17 for F&A and  12 candidates will be called for assistant grade 1 C&MM.

Selected Candidates will get a monthly salary of approximately 38250 which will include the basic pay of 25000 per month and a 50% dearness allowance of 12500 per month. However, the DA will increase according to the increment in DA by the central government. Apart from this basic salary, employees will also get travel allowances, house and rent allowances, medical allowances, paid leaves, etc according to the norms. 

NPCIL Assistant Grade 1 Post Eligibility 2024

  • Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply for the post of assistant grade 1 in NPCIL recruitment 2024.
  • The age of the applicant should be between 21 years old to 28 years old maximum while applying for the post.  however SC ST category and OBC candidates will get age relaxation of maximum 3 years. Apart from this person with disability will get the relaxation in age of maximum 5 years. The age will be calculated as 25 June 2024
  • The applicant should have completed graduation with at least 50% marks in any stream

Selection Procedure of NPCIL Assistant Grade 1

The selection process for the NPCIL Assistant Grade-1 posts involves three stages.

The first stage is a Preliminary Test, conducted either online or using OMR sheets, lasting 1 hour. It features 50 multiple-choice questions divided into General Knowledge & Current Affairs (25 questions), Computer Knowledge (15 questions), and English (10 questions). Each correct answer earns 3 marks, while each incorrect answer deducts 1 mark, with a maximum score of 150 marks.

The test medium is English. Successful candidates proceed to the Advanced Test, also conducted online or via OMR, lasting 2 hours with 50 multiple-choice questions split equally between Quantitative Aptitude and Critical Reasoning. The marking scheme is identical to the Preliminary Test, with each correct answer scoring 3 marks and each wrong answer losing 1 mark, totaling up to 150 marks.

The final stage consists of Skill Tests: a Typewriting Test on a PC, which includes 10 minutes of typing and 5 minutes of formatting, requiring a typing speed of 30 words per minute in English or Hindi, and a Computer Proficiency Test, which lasts 30 minutes and includes tasks in MS Office and Email Management/Internet Surfing, adding up to 100 marks. Candidates must score at least 50% to pass these tests.
