1. Candidates must be Indian citizens.

2. Candidates must have successfully passed the Teacher Eligibility Test conducted by either the state government or the central government, as specified below:

Middle School Teacher: candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree along with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, or a Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree with at least 50% marks and a B.Ed degree, or a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 45% marks and a B.Ed degree (as per NCTE Norms), in addition to passing the CTET/BTET Paper II Exam.
3. TGT teacher: candidates must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks, along with a B.Ed degree. Alternatively, candidates can also qualify with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the relevant subject with a minimum of 45% marks (as per 2002 norms) and a B.Ed degree, in addition to passing the STET Paper I exam.
4. PGT teacher: candidates must hold a Master’s degree in the related subject with a minimum of 50% marks, along with a B.Ed degree. Alternatively, candidates can also meet the requirements with a Master’s degree in the related subject with at least 45% marks (as per 2002 norms) and a B.Ed degree, along with passing the STET Paper II exam.
